Hyena by the water-hole.
The place to see hyenas in large numbers is usually the Lamai plains on the extreme north of the Serengeti. Here there exist some water-holes that last for a long time after the rains and the hyenas like cooling themselves in these places during the hot days. Our ranger Godson found one young hyena by one of the water-holes. When the grass is a bit long, these hyenas take advantage of the situation to lie in wait for the numerous Topis that also share the habitats.
