The Masai Mara is almost on the equator and Mara Bushtops is located 1800 meters above sea level, so conditions are generally very comfortable. The early mornings can get as low as 9 degrees Centigrade and midday up to 35 degrees centigrade, depending on the season. We have the short rains from mid November to mid January and the Long rains start in May through till July. This cycle however like many countries has been subject to change in the recent past. 

It is not unusual to have a clear sunny day between 10 am  to 4 pm and then without notice a sudden rain shower and lightening show with thunder to cool off the day.
